The above quote changes an event from reactive- it is happening “to” you- to proactive- it is happening “for” you.

Notice how that slight change causes your brain to look at a situation in a different light. The latter makes you look at how, even a bad situation, can be a message to improve or change something. While the former makes it feel like you are a victim.
