Have you ever wondered why “back of the cocktail napkins” are so effective?
It is because they contain very little on details but a lot on the what and why.
I know it may seem counterintuitive, but the reality is that the more details you put in a presentation the more you confuse your audience.
So keep it tight, focused, and put in only the details needed to make a decision. That is it. Too many details not only confusing but also makes the listener feel they are accountable for the project. So you, in a sense, have just transferred all your power from you to them. Don’t do that!
