I find that too many leaders spend too much time in ineffective meetings that are really nothing more than status updates.
Your leaders are your biggest valuable brain resource. You need them focused strategically now like a manager checking a list.
So, why does this happen?
Because the brain wants control so we erroneously think, ‘if I know all that is going on, nothing can go wrong”
In the meantime, try flipping your status meetings to only concentrate on things that can disrupt your plans or make you not meet deadlines. You will have a lot more fruitful discussion time!
