If you have ever prepared for a C Suite conversation, you know how nerve-wracking it can be.
For, after all, you can feel that your reputation and promotability are on the line depending on how the discussion goes.
Here is one of the many mistakes, I see leaders make that costs them when they go in to converse with the C Suite—
They don’t know how to challenge the C Suite appropriately.
You may have a better idea of how to do things or better facts on how something will or won’t work. But if you don’t know how to voice those correctly, it will come off to the C Suite that you are not flexible, unable to see things from the larger perspective, and not a strategic player.
I have included in the comments 3 great questions you can use to appropriately challenge so you are seen as thoughtful, rather than shortsighted.
