When you close your presentation, you need to be clear about what you expect the audience to do based on the information that you have shared.

The easiest way to practice your new executive presentation skills is to repeat the key things in your close and ask your audience to write them down. This will give them in their own hand writing the commitment of what they are supposed to do.

Bring it up to the next level by asking them to share with one person next to them what changes they are going to do in order to make those things happen. This raises the commitment to the next level.

Then, have them form groups consisting of four people and again share what they are going to do to improve presentation skills, in order to make things happen. This will get them to first commit to themselves, second to commit to another person, and third commit to an entire group. This also lets you see what parts of your commitments are confusing to them or what obstacles they see in actually implementing what you taught.
