If your information has changed from the earlier meetings you need to let the staff know that right up front.

For example at our Presentation Skills Seminar you go over something like this…

So you may say, “The information I’m giving you today replaces the info in all those prior discussions we had about the Sibley process. Here is how it’s different.” Then you need to point out what information is different and why.

At the end of your meeting you need to recap and ensure that everyone understands what you expect them to do. Have the group recap what they will be doing and how it’s different from what they heard before. This will make sure that no one is holding onto the old information they learned in earlier meetings.
