Think It Through using Outcome Thinking®

Did you get caught in trying to figure out what year Mt Everest was discovered and then to go back and try to find out what mountains were known at that time?  Many of you sent some cool answers about mountains around the world.

The answer though is that Mt. Everest was still the tallest mountain, it just wasn’t discovered yet.

That leads us to an interesting discussion, just because you can’t see or understand something, does it mean it doesn’t exist?  No, it just doesn’t exist for YOU yet.

This is why you may have no tolerance for friend’s children and the hectic pace of their life until you are suddenly a mom or dad.  Then all of a sudden that world exists for you and you can understand why they can’t meet with you even though it is only one night out of the month you are trying to get together.

This is why you believe a person only needs to spend $500 on a bike until you become a biker and suddenly find you will spend $5000 on a bike and that you will own three bikes because each bike fills a different need.

So part of Outcome Thinking is building that tolerance of thinking at a larger scale even when you have not had the experience yet yourself.

Here is your riddle for the day:

Because cigars cannot be entirely smoked, a hobo who collects cigar butts can make a cigar to smoke out of every 5 butts that he finds. Today, he has collected 25 cigar butts. How many cigars will he be able to smoke?
