That is because we are so busy trying to figure out what we are going to say next.
To be a transformational presenter you need to be able to listen to the depth of the question, not just to the surface level.
Suppose someone asks you, “How does this work?” Instead of just jumping in with an answer, you want to make sure you truly understand what their question is about so you can frame the answer in relationship to their direct need.
So in answer to the question, “How does this work?” you might say, “Do you want to know how that works in relationship to nursing or to patient scheduling?” This will allow you to focus your answer on one key aspect instead of trying to answer in a general way.
Always make sure you clearly understand the real question being asked.
