Put in only enough details for them to take the action they need to take. Any more than that is excess fluff and will detract from your audience’s ability to take action.
Think of all the details you put into your presentation as pieces you are putting on a raft. Ask yourself if the detail will help them navigate the rapids or will the detail capsize the raft and drown them.
I find that almost 50% of details can be thrown out of most presentations and you will achieve better results.
